When women earn more than their husbands

July 9, 2018 By Dr.Lasky

Nearly one third of wives contribute more than half of heterosexual couples’ total earnings in 2017 as compared with 13% in 1980.

But attitudes towards the couples’ finances are a bit more traditional. In fact, 70% of adults reported that “it was very important that a man be able to support his family” but only 30% think that the wife needs “to be able to support her family”.

To deal with these difficult matters, couples need to discuss these matters, adjust expectations and work on sharing goals.  I am available to help you.
